I learned the importance of pedigrees and the role genetics played on the Egyptian Arabian horse
farm I grew up on, "Hatchie Hill". These horses came from a very rare and select gene pool of Arabians descended from
Royal Egyptian stock with less than 600 worldwide. The horses still remaining, which descend from this group, are currently
the rarest gene pool within the Egyptian breeding program. From a teenager on, I studied the horses of these pedigrees
as Hatchie Hill Farm became a world renowned Straight Egyptian Blue List Arabian Farm. Hatchie Hill had many visitors including
the "The Black Stallion". In 1983, the Ambassador from Egypt visited Hatchie Hill to admire the accomplishments
we made in preserving this rare gene pool. The Country of Israel purchased from our stock to further their breeding program.
Actor Patrick Swayze won his first blue ribbon on our top stud "Sonieta Solar". After over 20 years, Hatchie Hill's
herd moved to Texas in the early 90's to live with new owners. I am hoping the experience I have gained and the
lessons I have learned from growing up on Hatchie Hill will serve me well in the world of Bulldogs.
